Challenges
1. Users who did not reside in and around the area found it difficult to locate event venues. Google Map was the only source to finding locations, which resided outside the app.
2. Finding the right gate entry for the purchased seating was a huge hassle. Seeking information for the Gate entry required speaking to multiple people at the venue.

Task
As a part of solutioning process, my first task was to understand user behaviour for the existing experience. To better formulate the Design Thinking, I interviewed a group of 10 people who helped me understand the problems and the design challenges that came with it. These inferences helped me solve the challenges on the design and app experience front.
Design Challenges
- Improve users post-booking experience on the app
- Integration of other utilities that help make the overall experience desirable & convenient
- To reduce manual intervention as much as possible during the entire journey from booking to watching
Addressing The Problem
- Integrated maps utility to help locate venues/area reducing multiple app switches in between the user experience
- Complete assistance on the app right from booking to watching the show/event with the help of navigation facility
Screens
My Ticket
A notification/easy click to the latest upcoming booking to create ease of navigation for the user.
User does not have to look for his latest booking by navigating or trying to look for the tickets across the app.
Once user opens the app, notification of his active ticket booking appears at the bottom of the screen (just above footer navigation). This does not hinder with the users ability to navigate through the other areas of the app.

Results

Event Ticket Details
Active ticket screen that provides details like show title, show time, show category, venue , date, seat type, number of tickets, seat number, QR code, booking ID , price breakup , total costing. Along with above details it also displays the add on features introduced Venue Direction & Locate Seat.

Venue Direction will help guide the user from his current location to the Venue.

​Locate Seat will allow user to reach his booked seat from the venue. Exact direction will be provided till the user reaches his seat from the venue.
Map Integration
The key task of integrating Google Maps with the app to help Complete both the newly added features of locate Event Venue and Seats booked.
The integration helped users stay within the app environment and did not have to toggle screens to reach the venue.

Results
Venue Direction making it easier for users to locate exact location on the app itself. Locate exact venue of the event basis the ticket from across various venues.

Once user clicks on Locate seat, new window opens with location & venue, ticket details and QR code in one single window. Details like Class, Seat No., Entry Point, QR code, countdown to the show, Exact Map location displayed on one single window.
​Locate seat will direct user from his current location to the the exact entry point (fr eg. gate no. 4) of the venue which is closest/the correct route for his booked seat.

The Navigation gets you moving in the right direction once you enter the entry point (fr eg. gate no. 4). Locate to the booked seat, making it easy for users to locate their seat without any assistance. User gets notified on reaching the booked seat.

​A time saving and hassle free experience to reach your venue and seat with limited to no manual assistance and happens within the app.
